Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying protection systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets attacked energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.

The strikes succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
